That's been there for ages

Fair enough. Ignore me
Yes, @Jaloopa, why?
Well?
WE'RE WAITING!
If the reason was visible, you'd see it was "because I can"

@PJH can we get a list of all edit reasons that have been used so far? I wanna know how many of them are just random babbeling?

They'll almost all be blank

I'm about to dispose of the keyboard I'm using and going mobile since I'm changing drinking venues.
To do this I'll have to dig around to locate where they're actually stored and that may take some time - remind me in about 17 hours....

FOR SCIENCE!

Thats why I only want the reasons. Blank reasons can be ommited. I know I put a reason there once. I just wanna know if other people did so as well and how many people just put "penis" in there.

Only do it if it is fun!
Also just set up a chronjob to send yourself a message in 17 hours.

We need a @Sockbot module to send reminders, like !remindme on reddit
Get on it, @accalia, and I'll take a cut of the profits as the inventor

I've been meaning to get that set up locally. I grabbed a backup once and then raged because the way they restore stuff was a major PITA to work with in pgsql. Not that pgsql is fun itself. But later I found your howto over on meta.d and I haven't gotten around to working through it.
BTW...yes, @Jaloopa, I can see that outside of time.

I prompted it very indirectly, @onyx was a bit more direct, and here's the issue being made:

Waddajamean? It was already in a proper bug tracker ... He asked the question in the forum. Just move some posts around into the appropriate categories.

According to Discourse it has been 18 hours...
Filed Under: hope I didn't miss my chance!

Not easily - not with pure SQL anyway. The edit reasons are buried in with the rest of the diff in
post_revisions
:(The three shown there show the reason changing from what is effectively
null
to an empty string bounded by single quotes. Quite useless I'm sure anyone would agree, but getting anything sensible out of that column is going to be a nightmare using just SQL.)

A small part of me just died inside…

The solution is clear: move from Postgres to Oracle. Then this kind of nonsense wouldn't happen.

Oh, yeah...I looked at that when I got my local stuff up and running over the weekend. I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

I wonder how stable that serialization is.

Given how well the edits show on (e.g.) a single character change making the left hand window red and right hand window green I'm not at all sure. But while looking for where the edit comments were held I came across the following...
