Excell + python = Rapid management web development

I don't know if i should be horrified, although the program looks to be ok for certain specific tasks, i shudder at what the average manager might do with it.

Don't worry. Your average manager will do horrific things with Excel alone anyway. Making it a web application can only cause slightly more harm.

True, but slightly more harm can mean that the developer has to clean up everything, fix it, make it run on peanuts, and "I want it done yesterday"

  • New WTF: Spelling "Excell" with double L.

In my current job as the leader of the "thankless task" team, I translate that to "job security".

umm ... ummmm.   it was a pun?  yeah, yeah.. it was a pun. there you go.

  • "So let's change the name to something more snappier, more Web 2.0 like WATR"

    Absolutely ridiculous presentation.

  • I didn't bother to watch the screencast, but if you're going to make abominations, what's wrong with File -> Save as Web Page?

  • It would be funny if I did not see it looming in my immediate future... Oh the horror of non-developers developing their prized wonders and being extremely offended at IT-s hostile attitude towards making others use them. Making anything other than automated Excel reports removing repetitive man labor using Excel macros should be banned under capital punishment.

For the pun to work it should have been Exhell.
