    LOL

  • i think the second whoosh broke the sound barrier :)

  • And it's rather annyoing when people use "click here." Really, the link should simply be titled "Find out more." What if I'm using Lynx? I'm not "clicking" as such.

As Lynx user, you are probably nerd enough to know what they mean. But other, probably rather simple-minded people need clear instructions, like "click here".

If you are building websites for people who have difficulty understanding the concept of a hyperlink, it's probably too late already.

After 2 years or so reading TDWTF/WorseThanFailure, I'm prepared for the worst.

  • I am sure that link is somehow in violation a guideline at the W3C (link to the W3C site)

(Hint: all is not as it appears)

Yeah - have you seen the WTF that was posted here. (Link to scary WTF)

  • The more annoying part is that you're (intending to) place a hyperlink on the word "here" which has no intrinsic meaning. Linking "Find out more" means that the linked text actually does what it says.

Yes, I've encountered websites that do that.  It's quite annoying.

Way off-topic but.... dude! You stole my avatar user icon idea! Although yours doesn't seem exactly inverted, the grey is too dark...

His is colour-inverted, yours is shape-inverted... or however you'd call it.

    You are both fail.

You both introduced JPEG artefacts into an originally artefact free icon.

Blame the forum software - no matter what kind of picture you upload, it turns it to JPG - hell, look what it did with the transparent background of my avatar.

Oh, it's supposed to be transparent? :)

  • Something about there being some golden rule that automated JPEG conversion is not actually possible unless you leave chroma subsampling turned off ... (Which Community Server is failing to do)

Not my fault.  I uploaded a PNG.
