Cards? Is it a CCG? Online CCG maybe?

Presumably those dogs are being shown Dischorse for the first time.
-
100% Orange Juice. Multiplayer, but not massive; it's the stereotypical Weird Japanese Thing that is a digital board+card+dice game. (Think Mario Party.)
-
Weird Japanese Thing ... Think
No thank you; I try to avoid thinking about WJTs as much as possible.
-
But the western publisher keeps adding new stuff to it and do lots of smaller miscellaneous mini-fixes (like adding direction markers to boards in v1.9) and occasional balance adjustments.
And it's not *that* weird.
It was a big surprise for me how enjoyable it is - and I got convinced to buy it by a friend.
Also, that trailer is incredibly outdated. Holy crap.
-
Mario Party
Hmmm... this makes me dubious about it as being something I'd enjoy solo or online. Well, maybe if I had voice comms with other people. Such games, IME, require a bit of friendly banter to be truly fun.
Hell, the only reason I find BattleBlock Theater fun is laughing with my friends on TeamSpeak. Tried single player, was utterly bored due to game just being too easy IMHO.
-
Well, 100% Orange Juice has built-in text chat. But none of the Mario Party minigames.
It's more of a game about being a jerk with cards and using rigged dice to kill your friends.
-
Well, 100% Orange Juice has built-in text chat.
Well, that should help. Still not sure I'd but it unless I know I'll have some friends playing with me. Also, Wine required. Not a dealbreaker but...
Oh hey, it has a demo! Holy crap, those still exist? Well, that might be worth a look, at least I can see if I like it for free.
But I really hoped for a card game. Hearthstone annoys me too much lately.

Love that precision. Those 3 seconds are really important! Absolutely essential. The only thing I can't figure out is why they didn't show it as:
7694555H 8M 3.131471952S
because nanoseconds are important, too. Poor nanoseconds, feeling all left out.
-
Is the demo even up-to-date?
It might be stuck on some old old version.
-
Is the demo even up-to-date?
No idea. I have other downloads going, it requires Wine fiddling, and it's... do you call 2AM early or late? Will see what it gives me
tomorrowin the daytime.
-
Is it real time or game time though? If it was like Fallout where 1 game hour is 5 minutes, then it'd only be approximately 73 years 2 months real time...

then it'd only be approximately 73 years 2 months real time...
Which doesn't improve the situation--it still seems like a bug where the game can't keep time.
But once a player is past the two hour mark, minutes become pretty irrelevant. Even if someone can legitimately (yeah, sure) rack up 7 million hours of game time, of what possible value is it to indicate plus "8M 3S"?
It's like that line from an old Don Martin comic: "Meanwhile, across the street and 500 miles to the west."

But I really hoped for a card game
I prefer the crack-laced cardboard of MtG. It even has an online version, where prices are exactly the same as for the real card packs, except you don't get the actual cardboard!
... Okay, that wasn't my best marketing pitch, but it is fun.

In Dwarf Fortress, 1 hour ingame is half a second in real life.

In Dwarf Fortress, 1 hour ingame is half a second in real life.
I'm sure it just feels that way...
-
I got something that's actually on topic!
That's... reassuring.
Also, I haven't started it yet. Why do you claim I played it today?
-
... I can't take a look at how the demo is like when I already have the game. That's lame.
-
Nor can I, yet:
I'm pretty sure I already have .NET installed in this prefix... but this has been on the screen for at least 10 minutes now...
-
Well, I tried to get it running on Wine but stopped trying after a while.
There are people who run it on Wine, though, I think.
-
Huh. I just buttumed you were, given (almost?) all the screenshots you ever posted were obviously from a Linux machine. Unless there are now tiling WMs for Windows kicking around
I'll see what I can do about it later, need to go take care of some broken hardware now...
-
I use Windows8.1 at home occasionally, when playing some games.

Traitor!
:P

You spelt π wrong...
I am very sorry, but you have made the wrong buttumption. I was not trying to spell π. Any resemblance to π is purely unintentional.

In Dwarf Fortress, 1 hour ingame is half a second in real life.
That sounds backwards …
