Not sure if it was ever reported. I didn't notice that pattern before personally, but there are a looot of threads in the bug section...

Hmm, that might be it. That's an interesting way to handle that case.
Of course, every single other forum software out there[1] does it the other way and assumes if you typed in an emoji, you meant to type in an emoji.
