[FIXED] Quote Reply popup does not appear in PMs

I'm on Chrome for Windows 7, with or without my user scripts, I don't see a "Quote Reply" when I highlight text in a PM. I still see it in main threads.

Is this intentional? Because it sucks.

Oh good, I was wondering why none of you were COMPLAIN!ing about it. Worried it was just me. It's awful, I always prefer to quote small bits of a message when I'm replying to not-the-last message and now I have to hand-craft the damn things

Hrrm, don't PM much but lets see if I can reproduce.

EDIT: have on used to help test something else for someone.

No pop up when selecting, but if I do it here

The "Quote Reply" button also doesn't show up in topics that are locked, which makes sense to prevent someone from trying to start a reply to the locked topic, but not so much if someone has the post editor already open for an unlocked topic when they want to quote something from a locked topic without a long workaround using "Reply as linked Topic".

But I'm guessing that case (what I brought up) is more "feature request" than "bug", so meh.

Quote Reply popup does not appear in PMs

The pop-up still appears in public topics, just not in PMs; is this intentional? Issue found on TDWTF; it’s not present on @riking’s test forum, which is running an older version of Discourse.

Edit: Is it still a Hanzo if it's on meta.d?

Most likely. They may have taken it away to make it more difficult to leak PM stuff outside of said PM.

The case I was referring to was not having "Quote Reply" on locked topics in any situation (hence "feature request", to have the "Quote Reply" button available in locked topics if you have the post editor up already).

Removing "Quote Reply" from PMs makes little sense, especially since you can still quote a post in the PM topic via the full quote button.

I get 'quote reply' on that topic too, and I'm only TL3! Don't know if that's normal or not.
When I click it, it basically does a 'Reply as new topic'.

That's not completely correct.
You can open the editor, highlight text in the post and click the bubble button in the text editor.
That will insert a quote ~~containing the highlit text~~ containing all lines that get touched by the highlight, which is weird and feels wrong.
Doesn't work in mobile mode, though.

Hrm, it kinda works, but it just treats the "Quote Reply" click as a form of "Reply as linked Topic" so it asks to abandon any existing post you have. Unless you're editing a post (like I am right now!), then it'll just dump the quote right in.
