I sometimes get this message on the "likes" thread. I have the thread open in a seperate window the whole day and am running the following script on that window:
function do_like() { setTimeout(function() { $(".like").click(); do_like(); },5000); }; do_like();
It usually appears after a new post, but doesn't appear very regularly, sometimes only once a week, or even less. This is the first time this week

I think that's rate limiting in effect.
-
I'm not so sure; if I hit the Like rate limit, then I get the 'You can't do that for another x Discohours' message.
-
I also don't think so, the script continues to run successfully immediately afterwards
-
I have randomly seen that error before, either shortly after performing an action or with just the tab left open.

Happens if you try to like a post twice. Try mashing the like button as if you were trying to repro the old infinilikes bug, see if you can get the error to come up. It did for me.

When you hit the rate limiting on nginx.
Do it enough (like I just did) and you end up with a backlog of requests which run for like 30/40 seconds after you stopped and you get the error lots of times. Ooops

Repro'd.
