Filed under: 'Sandanista!' was The Clash's 'White Album'...
Eh, it's Sunday, let's dig into that a bit more...
So, we have the two most important British rock bands of all time:
-
In 1968, The Beatles released their ninth studio album, which has 29 tracks, and is 1 hour, 33 minutes and 35 seconds long. It features lots of 'special guests' and is musically all over the place, including a couple of tracks which barely even qualify as 'music' at all. Critical opinion was generally that it's a great album, but probably could have benefited from some editing.

In 1980 The Clash released their fourth studio album, which has 36 tracks, and is 2 hours, 24 minutes and 9 seconds long. It features lots of 'special guests' and is musically all over the place, including a couple of tracks which barely even qualify as 'music' at all. Critical opinion was generally that it's a great album, but probably could have benefited from some editing.
Discuss. (For your convenience, wikipedia and youtube oneboxes for both albums follow...)

Well, I don't know anything about music, but let's get the obvious difference out of the way: that album has some red on it.

It's been about four hours since I posted, so I guess everyone will have finished listening to both albums shortly...
