Re: today's date

So it's 2015-03-14, and today will include the time 2015-03-14T09:26:53Z. Discuss.

Ah, and to think that this unique combination will never be seen again! Truly, we are privileged.
Yes, that was an overly verbose way to type "WAT?". Why do you ask?

You manipulated the One True Format. And used the worst one as a replacement. Denied.

As long as its not may the fourth again... Anything but that. :shudder:

201x.05.04
what's special about that date??
-
Starwars.
-
huh.... that's odd. you managed a blank post.....
what was that again?
-
Doesn't look blank to me. Try a hard refresh.
-
unchanged, but this shows up when i view raw. what did @buddy say?
-
I retract my statement about the forums not blowing up.
-
It begins...
(that's not what I said, I said star wars, ‘it begins’ was just foreboding about the next discourse thing that might or might not be happening)
-
did you a word there?
-
Stare Ware
-
That's a really weird internet filter you have there.

something is not coming through here....
wut?

why not @Zoidberg?

Surely There's A Reasonable explanation here. Words Aren't Really Slipping away like that, are they?

I'm surprised you could read @Buddy's post with so many letters missing.
-
it wasn't easy!
-
-
At least it's not tau day.
-
But tau is vastly superior to pi in every way.
-
If memory serves, the last three digits of your approximation are in the wrong order.
-
Hell if I know.... I never used HTML comments before using Discourse.

i can fit an exact representation of pi into a finite number of digits.
i call it..... BASE PI
where pi is 1.
there. exact. perfect. beautiful.
of course this means that just about all the other numbers are now trancendental.... but that's just a minor annoyance.
:-P
-
But base pi would have 10 be pi, not 1. 1 is always 1. And 2 and 3 would also work like they do in base 10.
-
umm....... noooooooo. 0 would work, and yes pi would be 10, but 1 is..... i have no idea.... but it can't be a whole number because....
NO! i will not self nerdsnipe! that is an abomination!

If April had 31 days, I'd celebrate it.
-
Huh, yes, that's exactly what the post you are replying to said (minus the 1-10 mistake).
-
is it to late to claim my post was in parody of the original?
-
Is this the right thread to share that I got married today?
-
That's pretty cool.
Congratulations!
-
1=1
2=2
3=3
10=pi
11=pi+1
0.1=1/pi
0.2=2/pi
0.01=1/pi2
etc.So 4 would be
3.21something10.22something, see http://www.quora.com/Is-it-possible-to-count-in-base-pi

not if you want cupcakes for that news!

That's up to @Yamikuronue ;)

Congratulations mate! :-)

The OP is a lie.
-
Well, for certain definitions of "today"?..

A cogent counter-argument: NO, YR RONG NANANAH!
