I think it's not just <small> but everything:

Wonder if a newline helps. That used to break up HTML formatting:

Edit: Looks like it does.

I think it inserts
p
tags or something, and the browser ends up correcting the bad markup or something. Or something. I remember looking at something like that around here before.

With Discourse, you never know ...

Reported on meta.d:

Also, as this is a confirmed bug, moved this to the bugs category and turned off the auto close.
-
The fact that the tags don't affect the thumbnail size is TRWTF. It may still be disconsistent, but I can imagine a use case for smaller one boxes.

That's because the tags apply to text, not images.<img src="/uploads/default/14365/76afcf19c8cbad9f.png" width="88" height="131"> <big><img src="/uploads/default/14365/76afcf19c8cbad9f.png" width="88" height="131"></big> <small><img src="/uploads/default/14365/76afcf19c8cbad9f.png" width="88" height="131"></small>

Hmm, I remember trying

, but they didn't seem to do anything to the onebox when I tried it...

They did in the preview for me, but not in the posted post (see post 2 above this one).

Ah. Discoconsistencoursetasy.

It's... Weird. See raw.

.... deleted post not deleting bug or undeleted post?

The deletion was a Layer 8 problem.

Also, as this is a confirmed bug,
I, uh... kinda agree with Jeff on that one (yeah, yeah, ready your pitchforks). You put the onebox in a tag, so it gets affected by a tag, what did you exactly expect?

Female genital mutilation (FGM) is the ritual removal of some or all of the external female genitalia.
The fuck?

Welcome to Earth. Remember to keep all limbs inside the vehicle at all times. Also, do not feed and avoid the species known as "humans", they are a nasty bunch.

No, I get it, this kind of shit happens, and it's horrible. I'm just amused by the fact that in a country in which you can't officially see half of the movies without Mommy if you're below 17, a pretty anatomically detailed article on mutilating someone's genitals makes a front page of one of the most popular websites.
-
Oh, that. Yeah, kinda got used to the stupid myself.
Hey there's a movie / game with blood and gore every, what do we rate it?
Eh, 17, it's fine. Remove the brain eating scene and we can get it down to 13.Hey there's a movie / game with a single nipple in it, what do we rate it?
WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN? X, 21, ADULTS ONLY!

That reminds me of a story where a woman had her nipples airbrushed out of a photo as they were deemed 'not suitable for children'.
She was fully clothed btw; it was evidently a bit cold.If I can find a source/cite, I'll update.

'not suitable for children'.
I always find the whole "(not) suitable for children"-idea really stupid, honestly.
As a small child I saw breasts as source of food.
As a child I didn't really care of the other gender all that much (I mean I had female friends and all but you know what I mean).
As I was growing up I eventually got interested in the other gender.... but mainly a certain agegroup that was around my age...
I still prefer women that are within a certain range from my age... but I am also not a child anymore.Filed Under: random rant is random
Addendum: Might as well say something to the topic here:
I tried putting everything inside a link over at meta. It works in preview but not on baked (like the sup-thing)
