Chrome flags

Continuing the discussion from Where do templates go?:
You can, apparently, disable it by going to chrome://flags/#enable-new-profile-management and setting the highlighted option to Disabled
Dear God, what a horrible interface
Dropdowns for Enabled/disabled (plus Default, who TF knows what that is for a given setting), combined with click to enable/disable
So on some lines, Enable means it's disabled and on others Enabled means it's enabled. Then you get to double or triple negatives like
Disable the app info dialogue.
Disable the app info dialogue. If not disabled, the user will be able to select the 'App Info' context menu in the App Launcher to show the app info dialogue for the selected app. #disable-app-list-app-info
EnableDoes Enable mean Enable the disabling, or enable the behaviour? Is there a Disable Stupidly Worded Flags flag?

Dear God, what a horrible interface
yes it is.... it's almost as if they really don't want anyone but a developer/tester playing around with those settings....
actually come to think of it that's probably the reason. not so much that they actively write it that way, more likely it always goes with a ticket for the testers so they just make it match the language of the ticket and call it a day. the tester knows what it means and devs are bad at naming things.
doesn't excuse it, but it does explain it at least.

Google is one of the best examples of "Developers should not create UIs."
Unfortunately they've been at it long enough that I'm starting to hear people think Google UIs are good and should be emulated.

If that is the reason (or any part of the reason) for the awful UI then the developers are bad and they should feel bad.
Isn't that right, @Zoidberg?

I've had it with this game. I'm going for a scuttle.

Would those people happen to be discodevs? That's the only place I've heard such things.

No.

For some of the "enterprise" things I have to use I wish the devs would copy Google UIs. They may be terrible but still a step up.

don't want anyone, especially a developer/tester playing around with those settings
Friefox has a no-frillsName|Status|Type|Value
list which is a lot more suitable as a UI for highly advanced users.
I don't know where to get the canonical documentation for all the flags, though.

You really think it exists?
Filed under: I am pretty sure it does not.
