Let's party like it's 2006! Citrix releases a 64-bit Hypervisor
-
Citrix just figured out how to write a 64-bit hypervisor.

Maybe they'll discover CSS next?
-
Yes, they're very up to date...
The control domain, which now utilizes CentOS 5.10 is 64-bit.

Yeah, but it never mattered and is not needed. In general the hypervisor only uses ~1GB of RAM by itself. The underlying virtualization abstraction layer can still address more RAM than you can fit in any current server. The fact that it was 32-bit and the fact that it is now 64-bit are both mute points. <yes, moot, I referring to the thread a couple of days ago, etc.>

To be fair, the move from
RHELCentOS 5 to 6 is a pretty radical one including kernel changes which can break a number of things, and CentOS 5.11 was only released in mid December. So technically they are running an operating system which was current three and a half weeks earlier.Still, there have been 64 bit Linux kernels since 1994. It's about time Citrix figured out how to use one.

Oh...fair enough, I guess. We're still using RHEL 5, too.
-
-
What about μ points?
-
they are moo points!
I'll just be over here, rocking back and forth under my desk with a copy of Strunk & White.
-
Inside joke.

BTW, view raw on the offending post...

Whoosh?

They have CSS - but my Opera blocked it for reasons. Your browser probably blocked it too, but wasn't so nice to let you know (my Opera didn't say what it blocked - just that it blocked).

Ah, yes, mixed content. The link is https. If you change to http, it looks correct.

Huh? Type 1 alpha? Are there others types? I thought pedantry was a single thing?
@[All]: Does this count as a whoosh, you farmed sheeple?
-
mute points.
I hate it when my points can't speak.
I referring
I also hate when I'm a reference type.

I bet you think there's only one kind of supernova too…
-
Of course there is. You'd must be thinking of a hypernova
-
We're still using RHEL 5, too.
*Sigh*
