Orwellian muther fucking "affordable" double-speak shit.

    will puppies cheer you up?

if not then maybe loading up your favorite shooter and fragging enemies into gibblets will help? (possibly assisted by the mental relaxant that is alcohol)

  • Back in the day, I would load of City of Heroes, and take out my fire tank and burn shit.

But, unfortunately someone decided that burning hordes was unbalanced, they changed that, then the game went F2P and subsequently died.

My only alternative these days is Dynasty Warriors...

might just load that up, go SSJ20 LuBu on shit.

I tend to get too attached if they have names.

Seriously, I never risked an assassin in AC:B. Even though I knew they were just procedurally generated.

But, I can't lose Matt. He's got a goatee. None of my other eagles have goatees.

i hack my augs to have infinite energy, claok and walk around killing everyone in sight... it's remarkably fun.

and occasionally i'll try and got a uncheated pacifist playthrough. havent managed it yet, but i usually do get fairly close if i stick with it and don't get bored and go on a murder spree

If you want destruction, and have a fairly modern PC, there's also Wreckfest 😄
OK, it's early access, but it works pretty well.

The new employee Bob's augs malfunction, and he went crazy and went on a killing spree. Who did his background check, psych eval, and medical exams?

  • Grade A Premium Asshole

See, now you are thinking creatively.

Or, you have to let Bob go and then:

I'm just finished my Mass Effect Trilogy playthrough, I'm thinking this'll be my next challenge!

Love replaying old (ok Mass Effect and Deus Ex HR aren't "old" but they aren't new either!) games, I used to be very much "gotta play everything new!", it was almost a challenge that had me panicking if I missed out on anything. I never got to replay favourites.

Thankfully I'm much calmer and wiser about it now! I tend to alternate new games with classics. Far Cry 4 and Shadow Of Mordor are my current new games, I think Deus Ex HR and Link To The Past will then be my "classics" after them :)

  • playing through skyrim and kingdoms of amalur.

Never played as a full mage in amalur, and still haven't done the dragonborn content.

I wanted to start a new character for the dragonborn.
Using the SPERG mod for skyrim, and I have a arcane sword and crossbow user (modded a ghostblade with the dawnbreaker enchant, added a ghost trail to the blade, and made the enchant give off an etheral strike aura instead of fire aura, gave the blade an improvement recipe, and bumped up the enchant damage so it scales with my level).
I leave my crossbow bolts unequipped so it uses the summoned arrows that cost magicka each.
    And using the SPERG wards.
Also, using illusion spells for the summon perks.
Gives all my weapons an etheral look, and makes me like a spirit cleric.

Based on this, all my gear scales with the entire game, and my sword and bow skills increase over time.
So I never have to worry about equipment. The playthrough will basically be a roleplay.

  • Not sure which I like better.

Skyrim/ESO where you end up soloing the final boss, because you end up with some trick that makes them trivial.

Or WoW, where the average player never gets to see the final boss.

I suppose WoW makes more economical sense, because in a world where there are so many highly powered people, not every person will have the dedication to become powerful enough to end every threat.

  • The boss I thought was the best was the vampire boss in the Vampire DLC (whatever the fuck it was called, I bought them in the steam sale). It was a really decent boss and a good "campaign", I also liked the other expansion where you had to fight the first dragon born that was some sort of demon dude from Oblivion or something ...

I've done 3 playthroughs so far, all attempted full-sneaky but somehow failed on the no kills part. No clue where I'm going wrong - the game does not actually tell you anything about it.

Or WoW, where the average player never gets to see the final boss.

They more or less fixed this 3 years ago when they released raid finder, also nicknamed 'tourist mode'. All bosses, except a rare few that are only available at the very highest difficulty, can be killed at that level. Played with automatically assembled groups, you're practically guaranteed to finish a 3-4 boss wing in 1-2 hours.

how do you handle the guys in the intro before you get your augs? they count for the no kills

  • Java Dev

    Sneak around them. Carefully.

    I think there's 2 groups?

EDIT: I suspect it might be because I successfully save Malik, she kills the guards at the end of the omega ranch level.

this is correct actually. in order to get no kills you need to let makik die....

    Hmm... somehow that seems contradictory.

Allow a civie to die by scaring them into a bad situation. Your fault.

Allow malik to die by allowing them to engage in a fight, not your fault.

Basing your decision on previous accidents, therefore intuitively deciding to save malik without killing anyone. Your fault.

Easier achievement, kill everyone, its very clear how to resolve that one.

    by that logic.... yes.

although a close reading of PETAs charter indicates that they are for PEOPLE ethically treating animals (to what?) it says nothing about the behavior of animals towards other animals...

  • But if an animal is smart/sentient enough to be responsible like humans, it would be an ethical dilemma unless PETA rebukes that species as well.

However, wouldn't it be an ethical dilemma, if that species requires other animals in its diet.

Every dead one is your fault. Also watch when an unconscious one falls into the water (common in sewer areas) - they can show as unconscious but reputedly they'll die at the end of the level or something.

    @accalia said:

Indeed. Also paying specific care you don't blow the bot up near one - it may destroy the body, so there's no skulls around, but almost guaranteed to still count. That timer is tight.

I'd say it can't possibly be harder than the room she massacres for you, but I can't say for sure as I never needed to do that...

  • Malik was the only character I made sure I did everything for because she was a decent person and I made an effort to save her everytime. Pritchard was a good guy as well (but a bit of a wanker), but his character was chronically underdeveloped ..

Yes and Yes. I generally refuse to cook a steak like that.

  • Fucking rare everyday ... I lose respect for them (especially if they own a penis) if I hear "I will have it well done"

  • ♿ (Parody)

I like medium rare. Too much chewing on "rare," plus you have to make sure the fat is properly seared.

  • Well done steak?

    Why steak then?

There are so many better ways to eat well done.
    Burger, chicken fried steak, fajita.

A slab of steak cannot be well done. It's no longer a steak by definition.

  • Fair enough, just people who have it done ... what is the point?

  • FoxDev

i'l go medium happily (not a fan of rare, but if you like it then whatever) and i can be convinced to go medium well.... but well done? no. that gets you a rap across the knuckles with the spatulae i'm using on the grill
