Ins/del/@mention

Continuing the discussion from The Status Ideas Thread:
is that faster or slower than usual.... i admit i can't remember.
also what <del>@intercourse</del><ins>@Polygeekery</ins> said.
hmm.... i think ins/del need a bit more tweaking in the CSS, no?
RAW of above:
<ins>@pjh</ins> <del>@pjh</del>

Am I missing something because I'm on mobile and it looks like I expected?
-
huh.... nope. they look correct in mobile view.
but if you select desktop view from the hamburger menu they don't. the grey background of the @mention on the desktop version overrides the green and red colours of the INS/DEL
-
Ah, because mobile view doesn't have such background on mentions, they look like regular links.
Also, you replied to the topic? I didn't get a notification, and don't see a "reply to" marker.
if you select desktop view from the hamburger menu
I'm not making that mistake again.
"Sorry, an error occurred.". But it actually had my edit, so Discourse?
-
Also, you replied to the topic
it appears i did. whoopsie?
I'm not making that mistake again.

This was before I realized there is an accessibility setting in Chrome to override locked zoom levels.
-
Oh. Not nearly as fun then.
😔
-
the grey background of the @mention on the desktop version overrides the green and red colours of the INS/DEL
Which is part of the reason I left the text-decoration there instead of simply replacing it. (Color-blindness issues as well.)
-
Oh. So CLOSED. AS DESIGNED.
OK.
-
No... CLOSED. CBA.
I don't really want to add more exceptional stuff in the site CSS to workaround 'bugs' in the core CSS...
