TDWTF Resize fail on Firefox
-
Yes, that's the scroll bar, all the way at the top.
-
Looks like a CSS thang. Narrowing it to just before it goes to 'mobile mode' it corrects itself.
-
There is almost no whitespace so clearly you are doing it wrongtm
Also: Can reproduce!
Filed Under: All the content is visible because of semi transparency!

Wait, what?
Filed Under: Who the hell uses Chrome nowadays? We need a new browser. Can we write a discourse pluin for that?

In my stint as a web designer, I see this all the time.
There's always some width range where they forget to add the top padding for the content portion. It's always the window width that isn't represented by typical users (IE, widescreen, tablet, phone) that gets the least testing.
-
i just reproduced it on desktop chrome.
the trick is stopping the resize at exactly the right point. it looks to be a space of about two pixels wide for chrome. to wide and it doesn't rescale down, to far and the mobile code corrects it. I imagine it's a wider window for FF so easier to repro.

Discourse should be a browser, and all web content should be translated to forum format.
It wouldn't be hard.
What content isn't formatable in serialized article form?

Internet Explorer is now a window width ;P

Oh, I wasn't sure if you accused me of reproducing it on chrome while I used firefox. So mehFiled Under: Oh, wait a new post came in, let's reply!
Discourse should be a browser, and all web content should be translated to forum format.
We call that forum format Infnite scroll!
Scroll infinitely even on sites that had a fixed height before! Discourse makes it possible!

So, on firefox, I start at max mobile width.
I move out and for 2 pixels, it switches to desktop mode and it is padded correctly.
Then the 3rd pixel onward for a few hundred pixels, it is padded incorrectly, and we have the bug.
Then after those few hundred pixels, the top bar goes to one line where the menu is on the same line as the logo, and the padding is correct again.
