Programmer/Analyst Job Requirements
-
Physical Requirements: Performs a high volume of work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force, frequently exerting up to 10 pounds of force and constantly exerting negligible amounts of force to move objects.
Can I assume this means the force required to press keyboard keys?
-
In some places, the law requires you to specify in job postings any physical requirements of the job.
The people who wrote this one are expressing their disdain for the stupidly written law.
-
The Real WTF is that they said "move". Forces don't move objects, they accelerate them.
-
What happens when a negligible force meets an easily movable object?

You win the thread.

You get the "Movable Object" and the "Stoppable Force"
:-)

Or they just keep them in motion when there is a friction force :)
-
Or they don't move anything if the force is too weak!
-
If you take this job.... May The Force Be With You.
Well, someone had to say it!
-
This reminds me of a similar job posting I saw that said, "must be able to lift 50 pounds." They might as well have said, "you're going to be moving monitors around."

The Moveable ObjectChance on block: The Moveable Object shreds like tissue paper.
"Get a better shield, cheapskate!"
-
What methods are defined in the class to move this object?
-
How much does the software weigh?

Or they just keep them in motion when there is a friction force :)Damned high school physics. All those Frictionless pulleys and massless strings. See what happens? You get someone who thinks that the engine of the car is only used to get the car up to highway speed, and then you don't need it anymore.
