Language Fail

Foreign teacher at your univ. provides many funny situations - especially if it's OS course.
But seeing slides with texts "Data fail" and "Fail of fails" is just great - especially if neither you, nor the teacher is from eng. speaking country........ sorry no pics - I was sitting too far.
(just in case - no - he didn't want "fail" - it was about I/O... spelling fail...)

I've been there. One teacher used "exput" is the opposite of "input"
Honestly it's not that funny; misused prefixes and incorrect word usage can really impair learning, and it's always a touchy issue to unload on someone because of an accent or misused word.

He's saying that's exactly the problem. His first language isn't english, so he has extra trouble understanding his prof's broken english.

I once ran into a 'programming tutorial', the 'writer' hadn't taken the effort (or just plain had no idea what he was doing) to write it himself, and ripped a german one off a different site and ran it through a translator (note this is a dutch site).
the end effect?
a mostly german tutorial with the syntax translated into dutch.
