Who is Keith Henson? And why is Scientology after him? -- Full of lovely gems, like...At trial, the judge threw out all Henson's witnesses, disallowed any testimony about his reasons for picketing the cult, and allowed the prosecution to present excerpts from Henson's Internet postings out of context; the Scientology witnesses also committed perjury which Henson was unable to rebut.

I think I'll add that the "Internet postings" were jokes on Usenet about procuring a "Tom Cruise missile". Somewhere along its way from Usenet to the courts to the public, it's occasionally been spun like he's making plans to hit them with an ICBM.

Well, considering that Kevin Mitnick was denied bail because he could "whistle into a telephone and start world war III" I don't exactly have a lot of hope for the judiciary + technology.

How can a "religion" started by a guy whose aim was to start his own religion to con people, where people evolved from clams, only to have our bodies inhabited by aliens who flew to our planet only to be blown up by H-bombs dropped into volcanos be anything but creepy?

Ho, hum. How droll. We could be here all day. In the meantime, though, while there's adequate scope to criticize a variety of religions or irreligion for a variety of reasons...
this drifts into pushing a little bit of an agenda, here, and undermines the point that Scientology is a particularly dangerous little group. Even if you don't make a distinction
regarding its cult-like status or qualitative differences between it and other religions, it is noted for suing people who disagree with it left and right, makes death threats against its enemies,
and a variety of other Bad Things.
