The Three wtfs

  • Here is the story of the three wtfs. This one hits a little close to home.

The first wtf was a big strapping fellow, built for them with real computers.

the third wtf is.. I don't know, That explicative deleted hamburger button indicates this is "optimized" for cell phones, or some similar bullshit.

But the middle wtf, I don't even know...

Who the hell is that for.
"Yeah I hate opening the current article, I sure am glad someone designed the layout to cleverly cover the header while still translucent so you can read the title."

TRWTF: the way I broke the links due to "the man" stomping on my artistic integrity(can't have more than two links, no images... well, it's your site. do what you want)

    [EDIT: show images -b]

TR(and 4th)WTF is not just using <img> tags

Well, we can't. Because new users not being able to post links is hardcoded into the software. Same with other idiotic idiocies.

    Fixed.

Not sure what the WTF here is. You appear to have an ad blocker, or the ad just didn't load. In either case, there is a slight difference in color where the ad-banner should be.

Before I get into this one:FTFY.

Now, this is an indication of responsive web design. Basically, you narrowed your browser to the point where the site decided to serve up the mobile UI. Nothing really WTFy here. Just widen your browser again.

    Again: FTFY.

And this one is actually a WTF! 1 for 3 is ok!

Note: If you meant "third" and "middle" based on the order you encountered them, then post them in that order.

The only thing I would say is WTFy is this:

No space above the article item:

    Space above the article item:

And this one is actually a WTF!

Copying Apple's style with their more recent iOS family in Safari, where you can see the content behind the top of the Safari UI.

    Though, hey, here's a #4:

Grabbed the browser chrome intentionally, as I'm scrolled at the very top, but the top bar is covering page content.

Also, I just realized, if you're under a certain width, that ad at the top doesn't even appear.

    #5!

Is it supposed to be overlaying the top bar?

  • Raleigh? And a bonus WTF on TDWTF's part for not specifying a sans-serif font as fallback.

  • And that, together with the oversized font size is why I use custom CSS.

  • I survived the hour long Uno hand

    I think it's a Goldilocks thing.
