For the record, if my pair does not come with a switch or other mechanism to turn the external speakers off, i will make them have one.
i have a soldering iron and i'm not afraid to get seriously burned using it!

I don't even mind that so much, at least it's indicative of some (however misguided) intention to share the music.
What really grinds my gears is the headphones, almost always of a particular white, fruit based brand, which leak to the extent that they might as well be facing out.
Then after they break or get lost, people decide to buy a replacement pair of the exact same headphones, despite the fact that almost every cheaper set will be far superior. Bloody idiots

I have a pair of good Klipsh noise canceling headphones.
they can handle a turbofan like the A-310, no problem
but a turboprop like the DASH-8 is a little too much for them
