Form letter inanity

Received this in the mail yesterday:

I am puzzled as to what they expected me to do.

I am puzzled about the form letter not being signed, but the intent and purpose of it is not that hard to figure out, me thinks. The key sentence seems to be:

"we request that you contact the undersigned at your earliest convenience to enable FedEx to clear the goods with HM Revenue & Customs and deliver the consignment to you"

Now, the sender of the letter is more or less clear (Scott Thompson, MPI Services), although he forgot to "undersign" and leave his contact information. It should still be possible to contact FedEx at the letterhead address and ask your way through to Mr. Thompson, right?

Were the Telephone, Fax, and Email fields actually blank? Even if they weren't, I'd recommend looking up FedEx's contact information independently before contacting them, to avoid a possible scam.

I think if I received this, and I hadn't ordered any packages recently, I'd simply discard and ignore it.

It's where goods upon which VAT and/or duty are due are placed until said taxes are paid. cf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonded_warehouse

i.e. it's a fiduciary bond, not bondage.

That's the sender of the package. There is no hint as to who sent the letter.

That's precisely what I did - the actual invoice arrived the next day anyway. But I thought the idiotic form letter deserved recording.

I see the page perfectly (I guess) except for that image.

But only on Firefox. In IE it's shown correctly!

Considering I don't have any sort of ad blocker, this is very strange...

Holy crapWTF. I loaded the page successfully twice, with the image loading in the thread. Then, after noticing your troubles, I reloaded the page. The page loaded correctly (FUCK SHIT) but once the image loaded, it was removed from the page. WTF?

EDIT: But when I posted this message, the page loaded correctly with the image.

EDIT: Now my edit is not showing up. Fucking Community Server

Adding injury to insult, when the package finally arrived, somebody had taken the perfectly adequate standard-issue fedex shipping container, and put it inside a large, unsealed plastic bag, which served only to collect the rain and thoroughly soak the package.
