Maybe it refers to the "WTF?" look you'll get when you try to use it in a barfight or street brawl.

Never seen a Smart before? I'm not saying they're common here, but once in a while you do see one. Would be useful for parking (that's actually what they advertised with)

Though I've heard some versions at least didn't have power steering, making them rather less handy to park.
But yeah, I think part of the idea was that two Smarts can fit crosswise in a normal parking space.
As regards the World Taekwondo Federation, it was established in 1973, quite possibly before the acronym WTF as we know it today was in widespread usage. The real WTF is that the OP reckons they should have checked Google over 20 years before it existed.

[/quote]What a wuss.. "Back in my day" power steering was rare.
The size and weight of the car was the main factor in steering heaviness, but also the company designing the car; small cars nearly always had easy steering. A midsized Audi had excellent unassisted steering. Yank tanks were a different story altogether.

World Taekwondo Federation has been around for many years, long before 'wtf' took on its internet meaning. Made me giggle at first too, but if you're in a WTF Tae Kwon Do school (as opposed to International Taekwondo Federation, or ITF), you get used to it.

Tell that to MS. Person forcing ".NET" name should be shot. Many times. Especially, that "." is stripped in google searches.
Same goes for "C"... but it would be hard to ask for checking google before that :)

I soo totally agree. ".Net" has to be worst name ever for a technology claiming to target the internet (among other things).
I use it daily (.Net framework), and really like it.
But the name?!? What a failure.

Had you checked it on google, you would have seen that it's the first result on google http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=wtf
The real WTF is people saying the WTF is people using WTF without checking it on google when they didn't checked it themselves :) .
And by the way making search for .NET related stuff works good if you simply do ".net what_I_Search"

That is good news.
But this was not the case when I started in 2002, (in my experience) and I have not really tried since.
I still think the name is fucked up.
