Teleporting trains?

I saw this when I was checking if my train was going to be on time or not:
And that's why Europe's public transport system is so great~

Incomprehensible mobile apps? Sorry, I have no idea what the connection might be between the picture and teleporting trains. Is it that the top one looks like it plans to make up 6 minutes?
-
If I'm reading it right, there's a train that normally takes 6 minutes, leaving at 17:18 and arriving at 17:24.
The train is projected to leave 10 minutes late and arrive 4 minutes early, so that would make it arrive eight minutes before it leaves.
-
Ah, the +4 was confusing me. -4 would have made more sense than switching colors, especially for accessibility reasons. And Discourse has taught me to not trust color coding.
-
I read it as 'leaves at 17:18, which is 10 minutes later than normal'. Would mean it drives in 6 minutes what normally takes 12.
-
Actually, the train scheduled for 17:18 leaves 10 minutes late, which is 17:28 and arrives 4 minutes late, which is 17:28.
In other words, instant teleportation. It usually takes 6 minutes, as seen in the third column.
Delays are colourmapped, with ones <= 5m being green and ones great than that being red.

OK, that part I had right at least.

You know you've designed your UI well when everyone who sees it interprets it differently.

<insert Discourse joke here>

I can't make heads or tails out of your image, and a 6 minute trip duration is not so short as to be alarming. (The Sounder between Everett and Mukilteo takes not much more than 6 minutes, and it's not even a fast Euro-train.)
I'm sure if I scroll down a hundred other people have pointed this out, but I wanted to also. Your WTF sucks.
-
You teleported that comment right over the explanation and are still late.
-
I do this thing called "sleeping" sometimes.
-
Wow, I think the design of the app itself is TRWTF after all.

As opposed to the more normal “train company just making up BS as they go along, like normal”?
