PM from a Flag cannot be edited after it has been replied to
-
- Flag a post with "notify user", put a message in the box
- Have him/her reply to the PM sent by the flagging function
- Try to edit the PM you sent (including an @SummonBot or the likes for good measure)
- Find out that you can't actually save the edit because the editor just sits there like an oafish bump on a log no matter how many times you push the button
-
You're in the minority here, ironically.
-
"Black fly in your chardonney" ironic, or "ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife" ironic?
-
Please tell me that you at least had to Google that.
-
If only we had members that could change the categories of topics.
-
Are you kidding? That fucking song played 57 times a day on every TV and radio station on Earth when I was in high school. I wish I could forget it.
-
I already did, but this is a bug. Go take bot stuff to bot thread.
-
Am I missing a way to split threads, a feature that every other forum software has?
-
Level 4 or mod/admin i think.

Ehh, I was too busy listening to better music.

Welcome to TDWTF
-
This was a bug topic — for exactly one post.
Yeah, I didn't realize that my @ example would set off such a...chain reaction.
-
On a different note, Jeff doesn't appear to understand the difference between 'Advertisement' and 'Spam' (and possibly, 'Spam Advertisement')
-
On a different note, I can see said category and read topics in it but I can't reply to them. Which is fun and exciting when I get an @-mention in the whole CleverBot thing which is in every conceivable way incorrect. (Even the question asked of CleverBot was wrong but CleverBot's response to it was completely incorrect. Perpetually single? That would imply that I am currently single. Which I am not.)
-
It's even funnier when you see that CleverBot caught my ninja edit, the original post was weird.

I saw the mention, saw I couldn't reply and then basically ignored the rest of the thread since there's no fun if I can't reply to it.
Don't make me bring @royal_poet here. You might find it... uncomfortable.

Yes, we know you're dating a bot.

Can you make programmer testing main topic category writable by plebeians? Just have TBD restricted?

I actually suspect it's because there's a group I'm not in that I probably should be.
-
You really do want a spanking, don't you?
-
That statement might not mean what you think it means when said from a woman to a man.
Also, nice ninja edit. I saw that soaking.

-
Trust me, it means exactly what she wants it to mean.

That's a weird Markov chain.
Beautiful ladies are not Markov chains. Next you will be trying to tell me that I am a bot too and that my posts are weird Markov chains.
-
No, your posts are PHP WTFs.
-
No, your posts are PHP WTFs.
So I'm human? I'm not a bot writing really bad code in a voyage of self discovery?
-
Any chains involved here will be very physically real.

Your life is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of PHP. You are the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mathematical precision. While it remains a burden assiduously avoided, it is not unexpected, and thus not beyond a measure of control. Which has led you, inexorably, here.

You haven't answered my question.
-
You have many questions, and although the process has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably human. Ergo, some of my answers you will understand, and some of them you will not. Concordantly, while your first question may be the most pertinent, you may or may not realize it is also the most irrelevant.
-
It is fortunate then that I am actually not a human, because I can observe the fact that your two speeches were out of order, out of sync and not part of this timeline.
I'm a Time Lord, I'm from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. I'm 311 years old an dI'm the man who is gonna save your lives and all 7 billion on the planet around us. You got a problem with that?

There are levels of survival we are prepared to accept.

Certain protohumans will not be saved, however. Especially the one known as "coding horror".
However, I believe the lady asked you a question. And it would be wise not to ignore her.

Denial is the most predictable of all human responses.

It's also a river in Africa.

Do you hear that buzzing noise? That's the sound of my sonic screwdriver messing with your mechanical constructs.
How's that for a 'no'?
It's also a very good thing that you are merely virtual. I don't think the Architect could stand up to the pain that an angry lady such as @royal_poet could dish out. Human strength above machines any day.

Furthermore, as a regular/leader/bishop of discourse, you can change the title/move the topic, but not post.

We invented many words for this sort of phenomenon but I believe Discoursistency is the one for this particular situation.
-
I would say that fits well.

I moved 27 posts to a new topic: Bot stuff found in a bug
-
Am I missing a way to split threads, a feature that every other forum software has?
I moved bot stuff to a OnePost, which I think is more appropriate for playing with bots than the programmer's testing category.

You jeffed some posts to OnePost to clean out the Bugs category ...
-
It was something people in the topic were actually asking for.

Sorry my sarcasm tag didn't display properly.
I totally support you jeffing those posts to the OnePost category!

jeffing those posts
New meme.
Edit: And I see someone has already started a topic about it. Never mind me.
