Odd Google search result
-
Do a Google search for "php header" (regular search, not code search). To take from the old Sesame Street song, "One of these links is doing its own thing; three of these links are kind of the same...."
-
Praise be to Allah for such glorious search resultings!
-
I don't get it.
-
That's some major point for having "php?header" in the URL.

-
Clearly, PHP supports terrorists.
For those of you who don't get it, you have to search for "php header" WITH quotes, which should really have been written ' "php header" '.

I imagine this page isn't what you mean, which is result 4 on both of those posted links
http://www.phpbuilder.com/manual/en/function.header.phpdon't suppose someone could just post the page
-
I ges that same PHPBuilder page.
Nothing to see here.
When people put up 'groovy search results' perhaps it would be keen to include the resultant URL in the message, to save all this circumlocution and headscratching?
Just an idea.
-
Not a bad idea, excession, although some people prefer to do the search themselves without being told the result ahead of time.
The search worked for me with or without quotes. For those who got different results (different preferences perhaps?), one link was for an Iraqi Resistance group, bragging about how well they're doing and how poorly the US is doing.
-
...let's see if that works. It seems to be result #10 now.شبكة البصرة منبر العراق الحر الثائر
<font size="-1">Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Friday, 20 October 2006 · Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Thursday, 19 October 2006 ...

-
Everyone is using either different data server for that search, or just get personalized results.
شبكة البصرة منبر العراق الحر الثائر
is 12'th for me. It's normal - php.net and php portals come first if you look for many php things. You just seem to be looking for terrorists more frequently.
BTW: how do you read it - to the right, or to the left?

Your hyperlinks are actually pointing to the same thing.
Anyway, I think the pagerank was improved today, probably because of all the linkings everywhere on WTF-themed forums.

Dear google users,
keep in mind that Google uses a distributed system with many local data centers. These data centers are not in sync or contain reduced sets of information such as in China!. I'm from the Netherlands so I don't get the expected Iraqi website from your query:
http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=php+header&meta=
However, when I force the URL to the US version of Google, then I get the expected result.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=nl&q=php+header&meta=
Please make sure you paste the URL, because that's the only way to guarantee the same result.
Marco.

For those who have not the expect result, be aware that this is an english forum and , by default, google will perform the search by prioritizing pages in your language (Dutch for my friend from netherlands, french for people from france, jeopardy for peopl from belgium). To get expected result, switch to english version (the hl parameter in query) and use the google.com site.

WTF! I'll take "things where the answer is French, German or Flemish" please :)

Ah, I see now. It doesn't work for me unless I put in the quotes.

I got the Iraqi site at 4th from www.google.co.uk, but not at www.google.com. Slightly odd.
