:D On the plus side at least he only lost some money. I have heard stories (possibly urban myths) of some people travelling to Nigeria in one of these scams and being murdered.
I will be much more careful later today when I am collecting my winnings from the Belgian internet lottery, seeing as I am so lucky to have been selected from millions of email addresses ;)

Do you like to laugh? There is much hilarity in the stories at 419eater.com. For those who don't know, this fellow actually responds to those Nigerian scams. But he gets the would-be scammer to go through some ridiculous hoops, including sending elaborate artwork and sculptures, and in one case, even getting a tattoo.
In one of his stories, he actually succeeds in getting the scammer to come to the UK. Of course, he never meets him face to face. But there is audio from the irate phone calls.
