It looks like Verizon Wirless recently rolled out a new version of their web application but forget to test the non-www configuration:
At the moment, loading the non-www version of verizonwireless.com loads a "iPlanetTM Web Server, Enterprise Edition 6.0" screen. Oops.

[/quote]I'm getting a different iPlanet page now. I wonder if it's a DNS issue? If I ping verizonwireless.com I get 162.115.227.90.

Interesting, it looks like the first IP is configured correctly but the second one is not.

There are lots of sites that don't care about that for some absurd reason. My university doesn't even have an IP address associated with unt.edu. Since I have OpenDNS, I get an OpenDNS error page, but I think with other DNS resolution services the browser will automatically try www.unt.edu afterwards.
