Mozilla did something cool?

So... while I was hacking away at the quote drag fix, I went to MDN to look something up. Wanted to try some code and pressed F12.
Noticed this in console:
_.-~-. 7'' Q..\ _7 (_ _7 _/ _q. / _7 . ___ /VVvv-'_ . 7/ / /~- \_\\ '-._ .-' / // ./ ( /-~-/||'=.__ '::. '-~'' { ___ / // ./{ V V-~-~| || __''_ ':::. It occurs to me this is a good way to hire devs. You immediately know that:
- They are comfortable using dev tools, which is surprisingly not a given, especially for fresh grads who only did C and/or JAVA courses (seen it)
- They would be interested enough to open up the console and maybe try stuff out. Means they are doing something at least slightly unorthodox. The kind of thing the normal timecard puncher would be less likely to do.
- They are messing around on the company website. Could be just sniffing for vulnerabilities, but at least they are interested. Make for a better target to advertise jobs to.
...
Fuck! Now the anticipation is too high, nothing I post will be good enough, and certainly not some cutesy little observation... I'm almost tempted to never finish this and go to bed :-) Eh, if I at least got a few likes before you all realized how lame the post would be...

Don't worry, it will turn out firefox was rubbish ALL ALONG!
but that isn't really a plot twist.
-
FLAGGED <for dashed hopes>
-
Are you reserving this for the time when Opera starts doing new shit again (hopefully) and FFX rips it off in a record time?
-
-
In the year 2174?
-
-
I fixed the title for you.

There! Feast your eyes at the glory that is my topic!

EDIT: Forgot there's one more level...

I'm glad my topic title edit is still appropriate.

guessed correctly in the first post.

Ugh tough crowd tonight...

Not enough grumpy cat.
-
To paraphrase Raymond Chen:
A positive thread about Mozilla on TDWTF starts with -9000 points.

Now they just need to add a little "oh BTW we're using C++" at the bottom to send people running.
EDIT: and add, "oh and BTW, Google could shut down our entire company in literally a week if they tried."

Re-invented C++ with GC++1 compiler to automagically add grumpy cat to all your media.
1: Grumpy Cat++

Won't get a respectable part of the market share from Cornify.
-
and add, "oh and BTW, Google could shut down our entire company in literally a week if they tried."
Is that a reason to avoid working for someone? I mean you don't want compensation to be any kind of ownership in that case, but till the paychecks start bouncing it isn't that bad.

Damnit @blakeyrat, I only liked the edit portion enough to click like, but now it looks like I may have liked everything. Screw the like ambiguity. We should get to pick the specific part of a post that we liked, and then hovering my icon in the "who liked this" list should allow it to highlight the liked section.
edit - Yeah yea, do a PR, etc.
-
I only like the first comma.

Is that a reason to avoid working for someone?
Depends on how much you care about having a steady job.

FIXED!

All they do is show you've been to college.
But according to everyone else, that's the key to life the universe and everything!

ASCII would suggest an asterisk is, actually.

Fuck you. That was terrible.

I was about to say I liked your period, then thought better of it.

SQL tells me you're 100% on the wrong track.

That wasn't so bad. The few days leading up to it, however...

Now I want to see a proof of concept infected compiler that actually adds code that adds grumpy cat to all image files modified by the compiled program.
I'm offering a bounty of $1 in bitcoin or a Facebook Like to whoever implements it first.
-
Base 64 append the image, done.
-
The graphics could use some tightening-up.

The problem is, you're better off with a timecard puncher than with a guy who suddenly decides it's a good idea to reinvent C++.
