Likes thread like count is incorrect on the topic list
-
It seems to randomly select numbers between 1 and 6 when displaying the like count.
EDIT: Just saw an 8. In any case the topic list is clearly Doing It Wrong™.
And reported on meta.discourse.org here:

This bug also affects the Likes count at the top on the Likes topic.

You guys officially broke it.
-
Sweet.
-
It's affecting at least 4 topics now:
-
It's not just that thread that's broken.
-
not knowing how many likes are in a thread is a barrier to like bombing
-
-
I FOUND A REPRO FOR SPREADING IT!!!!
Go to an unaffected topic, and like a post, any post. That topic will now be affected!
-
Just liked posts in the top 10 threads with the most likes, haha.

Here's my repro:
I have been able to determine how additional topics are affected by this:
- Find an unaffected topic:
- Like a post in that topic.
- The topic is now affected by the incorrect like count bug.

-
Stop breaking my topics!

Stop breaking my topics!
I only broke one! And I scrolled down a ways to find it. At least I didn't use something like the BAD IDEAS THREAD.
-
It has spread to meta!!

Bugs that spread to all instances is a barrier to reading.

They have a team member who says he may be at at fault.

Is this the end of the world?

No, people other than Jeff routinely take the blame. And Jeff routinely blames them.

But this is different. A Discourse team member claiming the blame. It must be a sign of the apocalypse.

Not really because this is an implementation bug not so much a design bug, and they 'fess up to those.

@PJH: They indicate that they've corrected the bug. Do you want to try applying the fix?

Was waiting for it to turn up in the interface I have to use - it's updating as I type..

Well, the likes thread is fixed now. Guess we either need to go fix the other threads or ask for that rake that zogstrip offered.
-
I wouldn't imagine there are that many topics affected, and those that are should sort themselves out shortly.
-
:runs off to fix all of his threads:
-
I've been fixing a few.
