Helpfully deleted flags..

... or is that
Deleted, helpfully, flags

rightleft. @Sam - they're new. What is a 'helpful' flag, and how can I see my deleted posts? What else can appear there?
Edit: Can't tell my widdershins from my deosil...

If it's like StackExchange, when you flag something the people who handle the flag can mark it "helpful" or "not helpful". Helpful flags give you more flags per day since you're now "trustworthy".

In that case, why haven't I had my flagging privileges revoked yet?
-
I do wonder how a "helpful" flag would look here, since spam, off-topic and inappropiate posts are pretty much an entry requirement for this forum.

I see we have a candidate for 'pedantic dickweed'!
When is spam not spam?

Oooh, do I get a badge?
Filed under: a "pedantic dickweedery" flag is not a bad idea, though

Have the passport guys found the DC forum yet?
I bet they did, saw Discourse, and said "eeeh, fuck it, those guys are miserable enough".
-

Maybe they're still waiting for their registration emails.

I think it's more of the case that the URL to this forum isn't being advertised on the main site, except perhaps the links at the bottom of articles.
The Forums link top right for example still goes to CS.
It'll be interesting to see the mechanics/timing of what happens when they do find the DC forums.

I believe the expression will be "oh what fresh hell is this?"

I'm rather optimistic about it actually.
Whether it'll work in practice like I think it will in theory is another thing....

What is a 'helpful' flag, and how can I see my deleted posts?
It's a bit of a work in progress, @zogstrip is going to get a way to filter to deleted posts (to help you moderate stuff)
We are also going to add the ability to "vet" flags as "good", "bad" or "ignore", which will make this helpful flag thing make a lot more sense.
-
The ability for moderators to respond to flags as agree, disagree, defer already exists, it's just not totally 100% consistent across all code paths (but should be before V1).
The deleted posts count is a broad spectrum indicator of how much "work" a user is creating for moderators.

Don't worry - that's getting sorted soon.

Is @darkmatter going to get sorted? ascending or descending?

More importantly, will it be
O(n log n)
orO(n²)
?

For the benefit of those who haven't noticed, it's been sorted.

it's been sorted.
I'm not an it
And I think you sorted me ascending, but by char type instead of int, because my 9 is somehow after my 11. Jerk.
