Windows 98 and a Faulty Program
-
Perhaps this program should be looked at:
It appeared when I was using Logicator 2004 at School on a Research Machines PLC Network from 1996! It kept flashing up when I did such trivial things as move the help window.

The subject line contains a redundancy.
When did this happen? "Logicator 2004" implies a couple of years ago, at most. Does your school still have Win 98 machines? That still work? (Hah, hah, I know...)
-
"Economatics Logicator"? Who names these things? Sounds
like either a clueless hillbilly or a Professor Frink special (glaven!).
-
It also reminds me of something Mr. Burns might call a computer.

Well, I checked their site and apparently they still advertise it as Windows 98 compatible. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be as exciting as the name suggests:
PIC-Logicator software provides a full range of control operations: switching
outputs, sequences, timing, counting, using feedback from digital and analogue
sensors, sub-systems, logical and mathematical functions. Interrupts
provide parallel processing.Commands are also included to make use of specialist features of a PIC, such as accessing the chips's EEPROM memory; putting the chip into low-power mode; outputting information to a serial device such as a printer or LCD screen.
The current version of PIC-Logicator is Version 2 (PIC-Logicator 2005) and is for use on Windows 98, NT, ME, 2000, XP.

I can't help but to find the name "Economatics Logicator" funny. What's next? "Communidynamics Tesselator"? "Pyrovertex Transdimensional Analyser Pro"?

This happened about 3 weeks ago.

I feel sorry for the person that has to keep those machines up and available. Also, if it's in a lab setting, that lessens my surprise somewhat.
