QUESTION: Is there a way to easily reduce an image's size?
-
I like that you can dump a link and it becomes an image (although tumblr post direct links behave in an undesirable way), but the images are max-width 100%. Sometimes I'd just like the image to be a little less overbearing.
Is there syntax like http://imageurl[500x500] or whatever?
I was unable to find anything relevant form the help post here

I'm guessing not - if you're relying on oneboxing.
You'll have to rely on traditional markup if you want anything other than DC's idea of how it's going to get presented. Even then it still has the final say - you note we haven't had any of @ben_lubar's massive screenshots recently....
- BBCode:
[img width={width} height={height} ...]{url}[/img]
- HTML:
<img width=XXX src="url" />
- Markdown:
![Alt text](/path/to/img.jpg "Optional title" =WIDTHxHEIGHT)
(Based on this and this.)
Think I'd stick with the HTML version...

Your new kawaii persona will not help you to best me, worthy opponent.
Now, defend yourself!

I don't fucking believe it.
The forum hard-overwrites my specified width using javascript and sets it to the parent's width.

I don't fucking believe it.
I did warn you buddy....
Even then it still has the final say

I just edited this after @system's download, and added width=300.
-
I shall wait until @system has had a play with it...

After @system:
Hmm. Maybe...

I've made an edit.

I had to add a nonce to the sad homura post, since it won't save posts with 0 edits. Now it's a more modest width.
