Continuing the discussion from Poll: How do you feel about Discourse on TDWTF?:
Of course, something like this (and what else you've posted) should really be part of a standard Discourse FAQ.
Sort of why I started it/them. There is very little documentation around for Discourse - certainly none that's in any way centralised.

It's to indicate it's a sub-category of Meta, hence a different shade of the parent category. I'll look to making it lighter; I assume you can't easily differentiate them by color?

Remember that the parent category keeps a sliver of color on the left (and that sliver can be expanded to the full parent category name using CSS).
That's GDT, General, Gaming, GDT>Translation, GDT>modding, Gaming>Videos&Media, GDT>Translation.

Moderators are also able to handle flags, delete topics, while TL4 users cannot do that.
(However, a TL4 can still 'memory hole' a topic by making it invisible.)

The new "Bug" color is too similar to the page background. It is no longer recognizable as a category name.

It is definitely more visually distinctive, which is probably an improvement. Aesthetically? Meh.

I'll just leave this here. Also don't forget colour blindness issues where you need adequate contrast even if you do fail WAI Guideline 2.
