Phrases or words in quotes, eh? Oh Postgres, you so crazy.

Consider me punk'd. Un-embedded the first screenshot so it doesn't take up as much space.

There are still issues with words and delimiters in some cases though. You would expect quote to be handled, I guess.

It's like the search ignores the OP.

Oh, and just to compare Discourse's hijacked search:
with browser's native search:
See how the browser highlights the match?

WTF. I still don't get the match that you're seeing in the OP.

You're not searching properly
How could they, when they don't even exist:
Field under: If there's noone to see the search, does it still make a query?

You're not searching properly
Clearly. Now I'm getting some matches inside this topic for some stuff like, "WTF". Other things...nada. Oooh...this is weird. I have this post visible:

When I search for "writ" I get those letters highlighted. But if I add the last 'e' in the word, it goes away.

View of this topic from lynx for clarity's sake:
also note: it is impossible to see any text you are printing in the preview window when there is an image above it
Filed Under: And it has pagination too!

Clarity into the insanity that is @ben_lubar, I suppose

Being here at work, I only have access to lynx through Cygwin and my phone, and both display that way here. I would imagine that on my laptop, where the terminal emulator on linux is more sane, it works fine. But I thought the messed up version helped illustrate @ben_lubar's post - I didn't realize that every character was non ascii until I saw that.
