Let's get some custom CSS
-
Sites are boring without custom CSS. It's all the same thing. You need something of your own!
I'll start with a suggestion:
a[href="#tag"] { background: lightgrey; padding: 3px; color: black; border-radius: 2px; } a[href="#tag"]:hover { color: black; }
Post code:

Submitted a fix to make it so #tag urls don't make you reload the page: https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/2369
Has been pulled, now wait for the deploy.

Yeah, it also needs a better visual differentiation between posts; and between post-content and UI gunk. I'll go fuck with my Stylish settings when I'm in the mood.

Do please let us know what you come up with.

Good idea. Any other suggestions?

I'd drop the shadow on the header... it's there because the default theme is white on white, and it's not necessary with the blue header here
.d-header { box-shadow: none; } ```
-
Here's a comparison so everyone can decide for themselves. I personally like the one without the shadow.

Here is a WTF attempt for stylish just because I could, plus I hate whitespace
Edit: Updated with other stuffs

the default theme is white on white
Ah, that's why i can never see the titles of Jeff's posts on his blog?!

No, the text (both here and on Jeff's blog) is black-on-white.

i was talking about the title, not the text... But at least now that i've started this discussion, i was motivated enough to go inspect elements and find the culprit: it was "text-rendering: optimizeLegibility". Some really deep-juju optimization going on here! :D
Also, i'd rather say the title here is mostly black-on-blue, though, since topics are rarely viewed at the top.

- eh, i wish i were on XP... As i wish i could use OB1 to access this site.
- it's not a "breaks glyph spacing" issue. It's this: Doesn't it really look like that "white on white" awesomerobot mentioned? ;)
- fwiw, i haven't used Chrome since its version was single-digits, and won't ever again. Personal choice, won't evangelize it. But please stop assuming everyone uses it.
