The guy couldn't even take a photo of his apartment building--the photo is an artist's painting--probably used for some kind of city planning or something.

As a professional software developer, I find that I also:
- Have a chair in a room in my domicile
- Have a view out the window
- Have an electric piano, any number of electronic musical keyboards, and at least two guitars (actually, I have 3)
- Own a car
Now, Mike Chen wants to make this available to anyone with just the push of a button? (Jet-SON!) I'm appalled, on so many levels.

A Subaru WRX is his dream car? AND he traded in a "hunk of junk" AMG Mercedes for it? An AMG is worth 2 or 3 WRX's. I mean, they're nice cars and all (sure beats my Neon RT all to crap), but...

I would guess it's a basic compiler :P, so a recipie is... (i will leave it as an exercise to the reader).
But i must say this is one of the best parody sites i've seen in a while. If it is REAL, im speachless.

Just scrolled down a bit, and found this example user: College Student Creates Software and Makes US$11,859.00** in Profit in 48 Hours and in the text: Wednesday I received the beta copy of 'Make Your Own Software.' Thursday in class I had an idea for a product called 'Salesletter in a Box.' (salesletterinabox.com) Although that url was not linked in the text, I just opened it up for fun, and had that strange feeling that I saw a similiar site before. Oh, right - it looks like the small brother of 'Make Your Own Software'. I wonder whether both sites are run by the same person..

I'm guessing that it's not written at all (I doubt anyone ever
receives a product). Or if it is (so that he can't be charged
with a crime), it's a graphical front end to a compiler, or some very,
VERY high-level scripting language.
Besides, just look at his wonderful Word doc---I mean, "web page". I'd just LOVE to see his code...

Wow that's shitty. As far as I can tell it's an HTML "compiler." Since I "qualified" to purchase it (I'm not that stupid, so no screenshots or review. ;) ) I saw on the order page that it's "Literal Mode" uses JavaScript.
The whole scam also goes by different names and cross spams itself on dozens of blogs and "review" sites. It's either also called or closely related to "Instant Software Builder" which completely spills the beans, and even finally shows some "recipies" (i.e. regular HTML with simple regex replacement "variables" ) There are also free examples to download, but I wouldn't dare run whatever unknown shiteware that comes with them.
The fact that it's so well spammed around (Amazon.com has reviews even, written by a professional shill) means that they have to be making some money on this. It makes me sad ... that I'm not getting any of it. :( (OK, and that it exists, but still, a check would dull that hurting a bit. :D )
