Discourse Sucking!

  • Finally lured into attempting to login at what?thedailywtf.com (because somebody is wrong on the internet)

    Username: FuckOffBob
(because spaces are not allowed in user names! Not even fucking spaces in this retarded forum software because spaces are so special!!!
What is this, a forum that cannot handle a character that is so old it even exists in ASCII and EBCDIC???)

LongName: it is no laughing matter
(You can guess what i really wanted to use as user name and what fucking works in the old CS forum and the comments section!)

Received the mail with the activation link, clicked the Actication button and got:

    ['BAD CSRF']

What? So has it worked or not?

Tried logging in and get "Unknown Error"!

"Unknown Error"! Who programs such shitty software? Unknown error? Why not NoSuchError?

Discourse, it sucks from day one!

    Edit:

Browser Firefox 32.0.3 (now updated to 33.0) with NoScript-Plugin, JavaScript allowed for http://what.thedailywtf.com, but getting the same error with the activation link.

  • Discourse touched me in a no-no place

Probably because Jeff thinks that can be abused by having usernames that differ only through whitespace.

Normalizing the whitespace would be Doint It Wrong™.

    o_O

    10 PRINT "FACEPALM!"
    20 PRINT "HEADDESK!"
    30 GOTO 10

  • Discourse has been up and down for the last little bit. And it's not just me!
