Finally — and I really hate to say this — I agree with you (but only on this topic); signature abuse is far more annoying than entertaining. That is why I disabled signatures as soon as I learned such a thing was possible, and never looked back. (Well, that's not quite true. I did enable them once, when there was a discussion of some particularly egregious abuse, just long enough to find out what people were talking about.)
