The Daily WTF Mobile

  • Does anybody know of a "mobile" version of TDWTF?  If not, we should write one - I would love to be able to read TDWTF on my Pocket PC.

I dont know if it's available for Pocket PC, but you should try Opera Mini, the forum's at least somewhat readable. You may also give a try at Minimo if you're using Windows Mobile 5.0

  • I tried Minimo on my Toshiba e800 (WM2003SE), but it kept crashing the entire system, requiring a soft reset.  Anybody know of a fix?

  • Wow, when I read the subject line, I thought more of something like the Oscar Meier Weinermobile..

  • On my Datalogic Jet (a PPC-like mobile terminal running WinCE), TDWTF is readable.

  • if you have a Pocket PC, you've got to check out Opera Mobile:

Currently a beta 2 release.  Very nice.

In addition, I highly recommend NetFront.  Version 3.3, which is also still in a preview/beta mode, works great in VGA if you have that type of Pocket PC.  VGA is the only way to go when it comes to browsing the web on one of those guys.

Netfront is great because it gives you so many tweakable options, and the "Simple View" is hands-down the best way to browse the web on a ppc -- very fast, very easy to read the page, it's great.

Minimo still has a long way to go -- I'd stay away unless you are curious to test it out here and there and see the progress.
