CSS "Hack" Testing

position: fixed
position absolute
Anyone know any other CSS "hacks" to vandalize a form? I think I have the position thing fixed ...

Forms and CSS, that can really make you go 'wtf?!' sometimes. In
most modern browsers you can treat a form like any other block element
but beware trying to style the input controls too much - border,
colour, and font are usually OK but don't go overboard on buttons in
particular.
Some browsers support the new pseudo-classes for input styling - eg.
input:focus { background-color: yellow; }
There's bags of good advice on http://css-discuss.incutio.com/

"fixed" does not appear to be fixed -- see fd!!'s posts on page two of "This should work just fine". In this case, I think the workaround for the fix was to use a span rather than a div -- but any element set to display: block (overriding inline if necessary) would do the trick.
Not that this is really a tech problem -- it's more of a "grow the fsck up" kinda thing, isn't it? I mean, you really have a limited set of choices here -- allow rich formatting and expect a few of those things that are often said to be like opinions to act as they are wont to, or strip out the richness. I'd be fine with the second option -- a limited set of tags (one, to be precise) to allow formatted code postings is all that actually needed. Oh, and one for quotes as well -- gotta keep the fiskers happy. But if you think the "real WTF" postings were bad before, just try to limit the whiners to a normal array of blog-comment options....
