The Bible Workbook

  • No offense to any believers, but that's just hilarious:

    chris

  • Wow...that guy took "mis-use of Excel" to a whole new level :@.  I thought the people I deal with daily who use Excel as a database were bad.

  • I am a believer and am not offended.  But then I am an Engineer, so I might be offended.

The only question I have is: If this is in excel in this fancy format, how'd it get there?  Was the whole thing typed?

It depends.  Do you believe in intelligent design?

Reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld, upon believing his dentist had converted to Judaism just to tell the jokes: "I'm not offended as a Jew; I'm offended as a comedian!"

  • Thanks for sharing.

Now we can use the solver to uncrypt the message.

He said he pulled it from a text file.  I'm a believer I can't really see how this would be offensive.  Unless you are amish and believe technology is a perversion of God...I guess this then would be the equivalent of drawing Jesus as a cartoon.

Actually... yes.  And evolution.  I don't see them as completely contradictory (black vs white) as so many people like to make it out to be.

More importantly, I'm a big fan of seperation of church and state.  I think it goes against Christian theology to do otherwise (with possibly special exceptions like the vatican).  (please no one turn this into a big, heated discussion)

Please do explain how intelligent design (aka creationism) isn't contradictory with the theory of evolution please.

While I do agree that faith in whatever god you may believe in may not be completely contradictory with science in general (even though faith is not scientific by definition), I'd be very interrested in understanding how creationism can be made compatible with the theory of evolution.

Not to seem too much like I am running away from the discussion, the explaination is longer and more nuanced than I'd like to write while at work (supposedly doing... work).
