Guess I should have seen that coming

I sent an email to one of our unix admins showing him how to check in his script changes to subversion. I gave a quick backgrounder on how svn works, and a couple of sample commands
30 minutes later I get a automated post-checkin email from the subversion server with the message "...and put a description of what you checked in here...".
Of course I did... in hindsight, it was always going to happen

Did he actually formally quit, or just stop making new stuff? I remember he had a couple of deaths in the family and stopped for a while, but I thought he was going to start up again, but apparently he's just rerunning 2001-era strips.
I realize I could go look on Wikipedia or something, but...ew.

I think it's an indefinite hiatus. There was a couple new strips around Remembrance Day one year.
There's some mailing list you can sign up that'll alert you if there's new strips. There's no way of testing if it works.
There's another sentence that starts with "there" right here. There probably should have been a "Here" instead of "There" at the start of that sentence. Fuck grammar.
