Reading TDWTF in Feedly

  • I'm kinda trying to read articles with feedly, and some times it fails at the most interesting part. Though there another WTF can be seen anyways.

Tried Feedly when Google first announced the closure of Reader - wasn't at all impressed (was it that one or one of the others that required a Firefox addon to be useful?). In fact just tried it again, and it won't take my OPML file for some reason.

Ended up going with TTRSS myself; had very few complaints about it once I got it up and running:

I don't feel like giving them money

In other news The Old reader shat itself (again) doing some updates and now you only get a random picture of a cat, I tried goread.io and... fuck, is like there are no competent programmers anymore or they aren't working on RSS readers

Oh great, we're going back to the "oh hey I'm a secret North Korean spy" bullshit.

Go fuck yourself. Sick of it.

I never said that, I just live in a country where internet usage is really low and banks don't have an online presence, there are no credit cards (although there are debit cards and you can ask the bank for a loan) so short of going to another country that does it, there is no way for me to do an online payment and that is too much bothersome for a $24/year service, just getting a passport would cost me more than that, so unless my country changes newsblur won't be seeing any of my money.

I received word of some dragon dildos in another thread. You could look into that.

    Oops
The effort of migrating and restoring [The Old Reader] seems to have drained its operators of the will to carry on, as explained in a new blog post that says the site will be shut for all but those its operators like and/or opened their accounts before March 13th, 2013, the day on which Google announced Reader would shutter.

That blog post has been updated, they are still in bussiness and I can access my account again so the world is whole again, but now I'm addicted to cat pictures :(

Replace "fire" with "electricity", and you'll find a whole subculture.

Oh come on.  You really have to tell us what country you live in.  It's not like we're going to come visit you.

Unless you really are a secret North Korean spy.

I have told it a couple of times, I also said in the tags more than once that if people really wanted to know they could either PM me or mail me, is not a secret, I just not want it to be a matter of public disscusion in a forum, least of all this particular one@El_Heffe said:

Depending on your nationality, it might be almost impossible to visit and seriously there are way better places to do tourism.@El_Heffe said:

No, not really although I kind of enjoy the humor of Signal Ops

I've not used any other, but the current suck I've encountered with Feedly is:

    1. no screen rotate - some feeds are easier to read in landscape
    2. no zoom - I have a Dilbert feed but can't magnify the cartoon
