Listen carefully and you'll hear Rubi Chakravarti addressing him by name (twice) as she righteously rips him a new one.

Or just read the text right below the audio.

  • I only see the first frame of the video. Is it region-locked or something?

No, it isn't a real video.  Technically it's a "video" but the "video" is just a single picture with an audio track.  I see this a lot on Youtube.  TRWTF is that there's no good place to upload audio files.

  • Erm … the text says the name of the 'creator of the cream' is Nagessh Pannaswami. Two Ss, not one: so probably not our own Nagesh.

I think that's just a romanization quirk, not an actual difference in the name.

@El Heffe: The BBC do this for almost all the audio-only material they make available on their web site. I think it may be a requirement of the iPlayer (the media player used on their site) to have at least one still image they can display.

@ blakeyrat: Some BBC material is region-locked, but usually only their video material. As explained above, this is actually an audio-only item.

    Oh WTF.

Here's a usability lesson for you: don't make your shit look broken if used in the way 99.99999% users expect it to be used.

Very convenient product in a country where the national sport is gang rape.

That's just Nagesh using ssh to be more secure

So the "iPlayer" can play a video file that contains audio, but it can't just play an audio file.  WTF???

It's all those Indian immigrants running wild and driving up our averages!

I wonder how accurate the estimates of Indian sexual assault are. That's the kind of crime that tends to get buried in undeveloped countries.

Like alum always did on Looney Tunes! Well, it's probably less weird (not to mention expensive) than hymenoplasty.

It's funny accounting, that's it. They report the assault rape per victim instead of per attacker. So when an actual busload of people gang rape a girl (then finish the job using an iron bar) they count it as 1 rape.

Funny accounting is also how women get all the credit for being rape victims. Again that's because they count the number of victims instead of the number of attackers. If you don't understand the meaning of this, imagine what would happen to Ben L if he was sent to prison for 10 years. Now there is over 2 millions people in prison or jail in the US at the moment, an 90,000 reported rapes in the country per year. It does not take a genius to figure out that numbers don't jive.

    Also, fuck India.

Neither per-victim nor per-attacker make sense. What makes sense is the number of assaults: if 1 person is raped 10 different times by the same person, or 10 times by 10 different people, those are both 10 assaults.

I don't know what would happen to Ben L., but the criminal community would become strongly anti-Go, I can tell you that much.

What's wrong with India? Sure, it's poor and really, really nasty and under-developed, but so is Europe.

Yes, when you have the technology and know-how. Which India does not. They keep making bold plans (like going to Mars in 2013). Yet they can't even convert currency:

    @Indian moron said:

India has earned a revenue of $17.17 million and euro 32.28 million by launching 35 foreign satellites till date, parliament was told recently by V. Narayanasamy, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office.

"Some customers paid in dollars and some in euros and hence we are giving it separately," an ISRO official said.

    In SQL terms, that's called a non-consensual many-to-many relationship.

Pretty sure both scenarios are many-to-one relationships.

I can see NoSQL is doing some serious damage in the 'hood, it's like the new crack.
