Longer is better

  • Since there 1/3 more Android than iOS smartphones out there, Apple is trying to spin numbers any way they can. The latest scam is saying that its users are "more engaged" based on this data:

As anyone with experience on SAP or Lotus Notes can tell, spending more time using something is not always a sign of being "more engaged".

  • Of course, having more Android phones doesn't mean they're better, either. It just means they come with every box of Cracker Jacks now.

Granted they run Froyo, have only 512 MB flash and 128 MB ram, don't have Google Play, and the bootloader's locked.

Android 2.x is slated to die shortly after the PC gaming industry moves away from 1024*768 (so never).

  • Here at Apple, we've re-invented innovation. We've innovated innovation. We've taken what was old and stale and uninnovated, and innovated the innovating innovator. We can now innovate with 150% more innovation. The innovation has to come from innovators. Innovating is innovating innovation innovate innovate innovate. All work and no innovation makes innovation innovate. Innovate. Innovate. Assimilate. Innovate.

I love when people tell me that Apple is an "innovative company" or even "the most innovative company". It's as good as face tattoo that reads "I can't tell the difference between marketing bullshit and real life!"

I have to give them some credit for pushing for higher and higher pixel density, which has ranked high on my wishlist since... always.

I like it, too, but their improvements in that area tend to be minor over existing products. In other words, I wouldn't call them innovative so much as "incrementally improving over competitor's designs".
