Rapid Web Design

  • You want a website designed? Plenty of time to wait in order to get it just right? (Including text embedded in images, but hey, that's a designery thing...)

  • That's not a webpage, that's a div. Also:

X!TE is a visual communication agency since 2002. We are able of doing things such as branding, web design, corporate identity, mobile applications, marketing planning, but we are very good at making ideas to real business
    No you're not.

  • Since "able of" means precisely fuck all, as does "making ideas to real business", I believe it's neither possible to prove nor refute such statements.

Green justice tastes similar to large masses of African playfulness.

  • OTOH, they might be very good and have so much work going on, that they can't allocate the resources to properly design their site.

That's nothing. This company has millions in revenue, thousands of employees, and owns dozen of studios that do web design: http://www.publicis.com/

It's been "undergoing maintenance" since about 2008. It is a *French* company, though...

  • Discourse touched me in a no-no place

In fairness to them, going on strike and/or leaving the grandparents to die of heatstroke on the summer takes up a LOT of time.

And the frequent cigarette breaks chew into the workday. Before you know it it's 2:30pm--time to grab a bottle of wine and head over to your mistress' flat for a little fraternité. Then it's off to the sidewalk cafe to sip undrinkable coffee and complain bitterly about your mistress' dearth of body hair.

Sure, you gain some time by avoiding showers, but there are only so many heures in the jour.

I imagine this arose somewhat like this-

Designer: Ok, heres the design proof you ordered. Once you pay the invoice, we'll release the code.

Client: Haha! But we already have the site now, we don't have to pay you!

Designer: No, no you don't. That's only a mockup, essentually a screenshot of what the finished site will look like. Now, if you just pay that invo—

Client: I did a Save-As "HTML", and it looks fine. What are you, stupid?

Designer: But again, thats just a static image. See, none of the links even wo—

Client: It looks fine to me, we aren't paying you, kthxbi.

Knowing the French, they probably have been fighting internally for years over who will take over the corporate website and meanwhile it looks stupid.

At least they don't put up a fake X where you think you can click to close the window but is just a tease.

  •  Try resizing your browser window. That takes an entire new level of stupidity.

I like it that the only "link" that I want to click on that flash application leads to a 404.

Those "Click here" instructions are also cute. Maybe we could standardize some color and decoration for things people can click... Is W3C busy nowadays?

You just got a "Like" from me. Certainly sounds a CFH moment.
