  • Considered Harmful

We all know they meant to write "incompetence."

  • The Real WTF is you feel the need to have the current weather displayed in your browser window. Why not look out of a REAL window to find out what the weather is. (If you don't have one at work, consider a change of employer)

The weather outside can be deceiving.  Here in Canada, it's not unreasonable for a completely clear blue sky and have it -40C outside.

This morning was slightly overcast and 3C... I didn't bother with a sweater under my jacket, wore my fingerless gloves, and my nylon pants instead of fleece... and proceeded to freeze my hypothetical nards off on my bike ride into work.  But it's supposed to be overcast and 10C when I leave work... perfectly nice biking weather for the above mentioned clothes.

I usually check the weather websites regularly throughout the day.  Because of the above reasons, plus I don't have a window in my office.  The managers have windows with such a lovely view of the office building next to us.

  • I used to dream of having an office, then an office with a window, then a corner office with a nice view. After 25 years, I finally finagled a corner office with windows on adjoining walls and a rather panoramic view of ... other (really tall) office buildings with lots of corner offices filled with people looking back at me.  Oh, and on really sunny days, just enough sun filters down between the buildings to make it really hot.

I spend most of my time in the windowless guest-desk cubicle.

    The grass is always greener...

    *sighs*

Americans are always asking me what the temperature is in F when I give it in C.  Then they laugh at me because I have a converter on my Palm for it.  XD

It is currently sunny and 129 degrees here.  Perfect weather for outdoors activity.

  • If you told an American that it was 35 degrees outside [Celcius], they would grab a light coat and probably die of heat stroke.

Besides, real geeks get their temps in Kelvin...
