Once again you've given us a link to a page which is blank in Firefox and Chrome, but not in IE.  The reason is exactly the same as last time: your page is just one big unterminated HTML comment.

You really don't learn, do you?  (I sure don't, since I'm still replying in this thread....)

To save you the trouble, here's the problematic line:

    <!-- saved from url=(0053)http://www.telusplanet.net/

The issue is that you seem to have manually chopped off the end of that line (maybe so we can't see the original URL), but you didn't realize that the part you got rid of contains an end-of-comment marker ("-->").   Unfortunately, without that end-of-comment marker, your whole page disappears.  Are you gonna do this every time?

Also, you still haven't justified breaking your promise from all those years ago.

The only promise I made the people of Yellowhead was that I would never run again for anything. That was my first and last shot at anything political. I keep my promises.

Forget your BS semantics about the use of the word "running" (you sure love your puns, though), and whether or not you have a chance.  "That was my first and last shot at anything political" and "I keep my promises" seem like plain English to me, and by breaking such a simple promise, you've shown yourself to be not much better than the supposedly corrupt politicians you're always railing against.

So here's my question for you: Why should anyone, including voters and forum members, take you seriously when you can't even keep a simple promise?

  • @CodeSimian said:

SwampBooks 1.0. It's not the only accounting package written in VB5. But it's the only one that can calculate amortization based on how many forums still let you log on. And, it lets you close the fiscal year using a single, easy to remember key combination.

Well, Ctrl-F4, unless you also want to close the window displaying slo-mo golf swings. You might be surprised what you can glean from the last 84 seconds of a golf swing.

  • Power Corrupts - Well maybe not

It's just that all powerful positions are occupied by truly evil people and they don't want any of their underlings being pure and good (like Swampie)

If you are good and honest, you can pretty well kiss your chance of getting into a powerful position goodbye.

Good news I'm on the ballot for the 14May2013 election here in British Columbia Canada. In the Boundary Similkameen riding.

My objectives is not to run for election but to fight the election of the regular creeps that busybody their way into elected and govt positions. My opening comments won't be about me but calling out my competition on "career politicians" "Education the big lie" "GMO non labeling advocates" etc.

Being an independent I will be challenging all candidates inside and outside my BS riding. I'm not going to make many friends. That's for sure..

Sorry for not giving this thread more attention in the last while.

Maybe if I'm elected I'll get appointed as the Ministry of goodness and honesty.

In my next campaign I'll refuse to answer any questions from the Chamber of Commerce. I know that will piss them off to the point of a fist fight and most likely I'd lose that as well.

The forums here were put on by the teachers union, so it was far better because they didn't pose 3 questions to start it off. The head of the teachers union posed a question that was more of a statement so I refused to answer. He didn't like it. Which made me happy.

Although I appreciate the intended complement by adding Swamp to my chozen screen name, the preferred appelation is "Medezark the Mad" -- No offence meant, no offence taken.

Also, although I have not been very impressed with the latest versions of visual studio (12 and 13), Visual Studio 2008/2010, do add enough new features and functions to outweigh any issues you may have with upgrading.  It may take time, but recreating your application in .NET would have many advantages.

KeyPress existed in early 70's and is still useful.

The Video is one I have cataloged for display on my LapTop. It's short (43 seconds) showing a 4 engine retardent bomber (no it didn't get me).

It comes in low in a gorge where trees can be seen on both sides of the plane. I play this section TWICE in quick succession.

Then on to the segment where the pink liquid is dropped.. This segment is played twice as well. Then on to the rest of the video.

The full video clip is then played without interruption.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

This playback shows off the parts of the video that are of most interest.... To me anyway
