Interview time... no - not the old stuff

  • No - it's not another interview story - I've just got a question for you and hope I can find someone with a good answer. That's my first "real" interview.

Suppose you're a student and are asked about interview call (reply to application). But you're living in different time zone and you're only available for an hour or two each day for the call. (in "normal hours" like 8-10 on Mon, 11-13 on Tue, etc.) Are you going to send list of hours that you're available on, or just propose one day / time? It's medium-size company and interview will be with CTO (luckily :) )

    TIA

PS. I started wondering if my interviewer is reading this :D

  • You should send them email/leave a phone message/etc. with exactly this info.  "I'm only available a few hours a day because of my school schedule, and I'm in a different time zone, so if it isn't too much hassle, could we arrange the call for either Tuesday 12-2, Wednesdsay 3-4, or Friday 10-11, or I can speak in the evening".   If they can't do it, then they can't, but it isn't inappropriate to suggest.

Then you're in fine hands and obviously a shoe-in for the job.

  • Thanks cw... obvious, yet wanted to be sure :)

  • Just be sure not to wear any...oops, I forgot.

I wasn't supposed to post stupid stuff anymore.

If you want to wear polka dots, go right ahead. I won't criticize you.

I'm guessing he does. Probably a nose bullring, multiple ear/nose/lip piercings, and horns grafted onto his forehead.

Would you like to meet him?

    LOL
