Kriorus can't preserve their own English site
-
Went to kriorus.ru today and clicked the "English" link. (Kriorus is a discount cryonics company in Russia.) Landed at http://old.kriorus.ru/en, which is a Drupal "site off-line" error page.
If a company whose business is all about preservation can't preserve its own marketing materials, that certainly doesn't inspire consumer confidence. I think I'll stick with Terasem, at least until I can afford Alcor.
-
I'll stick with Applied Cryogenics, thank you very much.

You can't take your money with you when you die.But you can leave it for your clone.

I wonder if these companies ever go bankrupt and have to sell the preserved people at auction.

Two early organizations went bankrupt, allowing their patients to thaw out, ...

There's nothing about that sentence that I didn't like.

I disliked the parentheses, and the word "is".

Anyway, what could possibly go wrong? After all, the effectiveness of cryonics has been shown over and over again. No wait, that was crayons.

The receptionist at Crayola hung up on me when I asked how much it would cost to have my corpse frozen.

Anybody besides me find it funny that the cryonics outfit that got Ted Williams' head is located in Scottsdale, Arizona?

I googled to see if there were any companies in Europe that did this sort of stuff (there aren't) and half the pages seemed to be from the 1990s. That makes sense, I guess.

Good thing Russia isn't in Europe! (I know it is part Asia, but according to Wikipedia, KrioRus isn't. Same page says there's also Alcor-UK.)

Yes, my bad. But Alcor-UK doesn't actually store bodies so I wasn't counting it.
